RALEIGH, N.C. — Marching bands, floats, and of course, Santa Claus, rolled through downtown Raleigh for the annual Christmas parade on Saturday.

WTVD-TV reported that music filled the streets as area marching bands played festive tunes and local dance teams strutted their stuff.

As if there was not enough action on the ground, the crowd was also wowed by jets overhead.

Meanwhile, there was everything from beauty queens, to miniature horses, to canines and their companions.

The parade included a wide variety of participants that bring many families back out year after year.

“Last year was [my sons] first year and they really liked it, him, and his best friend, so we had to come back again,” said Crystal Hunter from Raleigh.
