GREENSBORO, N.C. — Barbecue lovers from all over the Triad are coming out for the National BBQ Festival in downtown Greensboro over the weekend.
This is the festival’s first year in Greensboro and pitmasters from all over the country are being featured. Organizers said they expect at least 20,000 people to attend.
The event is planned to continue from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Festival Park downtown. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students with a student ID and free for children.
Organizers said food, rides, games and entertainment will be part of the event.
