WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The steady hum of conversation filled Wake Forest Biotech Place on Sunday afternoon. When Jamie Rogers Southern rang the bell, 21 authors rotated tables, and the hum continued, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Organizers described the event, “A Movable Feast,” as “speed dating for authors.”

The third annual event presented by Bookmarks featured 21 authors from across the country. Booklovers sat eight to a table and got to meet a new author every 10 minutes. By the end of the two-hour Movable Feast, attendees had met 10 authors.

It was a chance for authors to introduce their work, and for readers to discover new material.
