Authorities identify woman killed in Davie County crash

MOCKSVILLE, N.C. – One woman is dead and two other people were injured after a crash in Davie County on Sunday morning.

Tamika Oglesby, 36, died after authorities said she crossed the centerline and crashed into another vehicle head-on.

Authorities said it happened at about 9:20 a.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of U.S. 601 in Mocksville near Pine Ridge Road.

There were two people in the vehicle that were hit that were injured. Officials have not released their names.

The victims were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and were listed in stable condition as of earlier today.

All lanes of US-601 had been closed between Boxwood Church Road and the Rowan County line but have since reopened.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Details about why Oglesby crossed the center-line have not been released.
