Attempted robbery reported at Greensboro restaurant

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police said two people tried robbing a Greensboro restaurant at gunpoint, but left empty handed after the manager refused to give them money.

Police said it happened when a man and woman entered the Steak ‘n Shake at 2647 Lawndale Drive around 3:40 a.m.

The male suspect had a handgun and his face covered by the hood of his sweatshirt and the woman was wearing a black mask, according to police.

Police said they demanded money, but left after the manager refused to comply. No injuries were reported.
