LEXINGTON, N.C. -- A substantial reward is being offered for information in connection with the burglary of a Lexington pawn shop.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglary of M&T’s Pawn Shop, a federal firearm licensee, in Lexington.

The ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF, for a total reward of up to $10,000, according to a news release from the ATF.

On Oct. 11, suspects forcibly entered the pawn shop, located at 1802 Cotton Grove, and stole multiple firearms, the release said.

Mark Richardson, owner of the pawn shop, provided FOX8 with surveillance video on Tuesday.

Richardson said this is the second time the pawn shop has been burglarized.

The crime is being investigated by the ATF and the Lexington Police Department.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867).
