Asheboro woman charged with stealing firearms, vehicle

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Police have arrested a woman in connection with a larceny from a residence on Wednesday.

Katie Rice Latham, also known as Katie Lynn Harris, of Asheboro, is accused of stealing several items from a residence in the 3900 block of Rice Drive.

Latham is charged with two counts of felony larceny of a firearm, two counts of felony possession of a stolen firearm, one count of felony larceny, one count of felony possession of stolen goods, one count of felony larceny of a vehicle and one count of felony possession of a stolen vehicle.

Police say the monetary value of the items stolen totaled $8,664.

Latham is currently confined in the Randolph County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

The investigation into Latham’s activities is still under investigation.
