WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Police are investigating an armed robbery reported at a convenience store in Winston-Salem on Saturday.

The suspect allegedly entered the Marymar Supermarket at 612 Waughtown St. at about 6:30 p.m. and demanded money from a register.

The suspect took the cash and left on foot, according to police. There is no word on any possible injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, about 5-feet-8-inches tall, and wearing a black bandana, black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black and white tennis shoes.
