GREENSBORO, N.C. — An Amber Alert has been issued for two missing children in Greensboro.

Davion McCollum is a 6-year-old black male, approximately 3 feet tall, weighing 50 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.

Neveah McCollum is a 2-year-old black female, approximately 2 feet tall, weighing 30 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing yellow hair bows in a ponytail, a white shirt and blue jean shorts.

They were last seen at 225 Durham St., Greensboro.

A Tuesday night news release listed 27-year-old Michael Mayo as the alleged abductor. However, Greensboro police on Wednesday located Mayo, who was at the home at 225 Durham St. There was no sign of the children.

Greensboro police said Mayo, who has been “very cooperative,” is not being ruled out as a suspect at this time.

Detectives in a news release said they now believe the children are in the local area with their mother, Cierra Ralphette McCollum, 27, who resides at 225 Durham St.

Police said one of the children has a medical condition, which is why they need to locate the children as soon as possible. Greensboro police and officials from the Department of Social Services continue to investigate.

Anyone with information regarding this abduction is asked to call the Greensboro Police Department immediately at (336) 373-2287.
