ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A Liberty man was charged Friday after police say he violated a custody agreement.

Edward Tate Reynolds III, 49, of Sandy Ridge Drive in Liberty, was charged with three counts of child abduction.

Deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about a father violating a custody agreement and taking his three daughters without their mother’s consent.

At the time, the mother had full custody of the children and Reynolds could only have visitation with her permission.

Reynolds is currently being held in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $25,000 secure bond. His first court date is April 12.
