SNOW CAMP, N.C. — A man accused of hitting his wife in the head with a hammer and punching his daughter in the face was arrested Friday in Alamance County.

The Burlington Times-News reported that Billy Carson Pike Jr., 44, of Snow Camp, injured both women, including giving lacerations to his 18-year-old daughter’s face during a domestic dispute.

Officials said the suspect’s 13-year-old child was present at the time but was not injured.

Pike was charged with assault with a deadly with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with minor present and communicating threats.

He was placed in jail under $50,000 bond and has court planned for Oct. 25.
