RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — State Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler is scheduled as the keynote speaker as the North Carolina State Grange holds its annual meeting in Raleigh.
Troxler is scheduled to speak Friday morning to the 84th annual session. His remarks are expected to address the challenges in agriculture in North Carolina.
State Grange President Jimmy Gentry of Statesville is slated to follow Troxler in an address to the convention.
Delegates from more than 40 Granges are gathering to set policy for the organization and enjoy works of arts, crafts, cooking and other member products. The event is free and open to the public.
