BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wisc. — Authorities said a burglar was arrested after he took a “selfie” of himself robbing a business and then leaving his cellphone at the scene.
The La Crosse Tribune reported that Thomas Thorson, 19, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, faces charges in connection to a burglary at a Wisconsin sporting goods store.
Police said that officers found a large knife and the suspect’s cellphone after a burglary early Oct. 23 at the Wazee Sports Center in Black River Falls. The cellphone reportedly had a photo of the suspect at the scene.
Police said the suspect and a 37-year-old woman are also accused of trying to cash a fraudulent check at a credit union in the same Wisconsin town.
