DURHAM, N.C. – Mike Krzyzewski’s 1,000th victory came with a special bonus for Duke students: free pizza, according to the Greensboro News & Record.
The second-floor food court at Duke’s Bryan Center has couches, chairs, and in one corner, a big-screen TV. It’s a common gathering place for students to watch road basketball games.
A small group gathered to watch today’s game and Krzyzewski’s first chance at the milestone. It came with an unexpected bonus: a small stack of Domino’s pizzas, topped with a white sheet of paper labeled “FREE.”
“Some guy just came and dropped these here and put this sign on them,” senior Teddi Maslowski said. “Do you want some?”
