NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — A shark bit a 9-year-old girl who was on vacation with her family at new Smyrna Beach in Florida Friday, WESH reports.
Maggie Crum had to get a dozen stitches for the laceration on her right leg.
She was in the water with her sisters, Jaidyn and Izzie, and her parents when the shark bit her.
“I’m pretty sure if it happens once then there’s like zero percent chance it will happen again,” Crum said.
