LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. – A 72-year-old North Carolina man is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl multiple times, according to WBTV.
John Wayne Hunsucker, of Cherryville, allegedly admitted to assaulting a girl for the last four or five years.
The suspect faces charges of first degree statutory rape and indecent liberties with a child. Additional charges may be pending.
The victim’s father reported the assaults earlier this week and the suspect was brought to the sheriff’s office to be interviewed, according to the Lincoln Times News. Authorities said he admitted to the crimes, which took place in Lincoln County and other counties.
Hunsucker was jailed under a $200,000 secured bond.
