Three restaurants in the Triad have made a recent list of the 10 North Carolina barbecue joints that will “leave your mouth watering.”
OnlyInYourState.com recently published the list, which took a look at the best places for barbecue across the Tar Heel state.
The “Honey Monk” in Lexington took the No. 2 spot, Little Richard’s in Winston-Salem came in at No. 4 and Deano’s BBQ in Mocksville was No. 8.
Here’s what they said about the “Honey Monk” in Lexington, also known as Lexington Barbecue at 100 Smokehouse Lane:
For the best Lexington BBQ go straight to its birthplace. The ‘Honey Monk’ is about as classic and good as it gets for Lexington style in Lexington.
Here’s what they said about Little Richard’s at 4885 Country Club Road in Winston-Salem:
My mouth is watering just thinking about how amazing Little Richard’s is. For the best hand-chopped, pit cooked Lexington Style BBQ in Winston, check out Little Richards.
Here’s what they said about Deano’s BBQ at 140 N Clement St. in Mocksville:
There’s no fanciness or frills at Deano’s, just simple western style Q. Dean prefers to keep his BBQ methods old school by using only shoulders and Boston butts that gets cooked for six hours over a Hickory fire.
B’s Barbecue in Greenville topped the list at No. 1. Other restaurants mentioned included Wilbers in Goldsboro, High Cotton BBQ in Kitty Hawk and the Skylight Inn in Ayden.
