3 arrested in string of vehicle break-ins, thefts in Randolph Co.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — There people have been arrested in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in Randolph County.

Kristopher Kermit McDuffie, 23, of Asheboro, Stevens Patrick Richardson, 25, of Asheboro and Talia Dawn Singletary, 19, of Seagrove, were arrested by Randolph County deputies.

Deputies said they received numerous reports of vehicle break-ins in the Tot Hill Farm Road area on March 10. Not only were stolen items recovered, credit cards were also reported stolen, deputies said.

All face charges of identity theft and obtaining property by false pretense. McDuffie and Richardson were also charged with six counts each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and seven counts each of larceny. Two of the larceny charges are felonies, while the rest of misdemeanors, deputies said.

McDuffie and Singletary are in the Randolph County Jail under $40,000 and $10,000 secured bonds, respectively. Richardson was released on bond.
