GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Two men have pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a man during a party at a Greenville apartment nearly two years ago.

The Daily Reflector of Greenville reports 22-year-old Joshua Cameron Smith and 19-year-old Paris O’Brian White pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Tuesday as part of an agreement with Pitt County prosecutors.

The men had been charged with first-degree murder in the 2010 shooting death of 25-year-old Larry Maurice Campbell of Snow Hill.

Assistant District Attorney Kimberly Robb said the shooting occurred at a party in the apartment complex in which Campbell had become intoxicated.

White was arrested about two weeks after the shooting. Smith was arrested about a month later.

The men were sentenced to between 10 and 13 years in prison.
