DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Two men were arrested and charged in connection with an elaborate marijuana growing operation in Davidson County.

On Monday, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 611 Indian Wells Circle and discovered the operation with eight separate growing rooms and several thousands of dollars worth of electrical equipment used to cultivate the drugs.

Seventeen bags of marijuana were seized from home, according to Davidson County Sheriff David Grice.

The bags contained about 510 pounds of marijuana, Grice said. The marijuana was worth approximately $828,000.

Hong Nguyen, 45, is charged with trafficking marijuana by possession, trafficking marijuana by manufacturing and felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.

Hai Nguyen, 37, is charged with trafficking marijuana by possession and trafficking marijuana by manufacturing.

Both men were taken to the Davidson County Jail on a $5,000,000 secured bond.
