11-year-old, 16-year-old injured in shooting in Winston-Salem


WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Two juveniles were injured in a shooting in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of North Glenn Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect fired multiple shots toward a residence, hitting the victims.

Police said the victims are 11 and 16 years old.

The victims’ injuries are not life-threatening.

The suspect ran from the area after the shooting and a motive is not known.

Several other juveniles were at the home at the time of the shooting but they were not injured.
