JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. — A 6-year-old and a 7-year-old in Jackson County, Missouri, died in a crash after they took their grandmother’s car, police say, WDAF reports.

The crash happened at about 5 p.m. on Friday.

The child who was driving the car lost control, and the car reportedly went off an embankment then crashed and caught fire in a creek bed.

Investigators have not released the names of the victims killed in the crash, pending family notification.
