WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have charged two men in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Danny Joe Harris on Sunday night.
William Darnell Ruth III, 24, of Winston-Salem, and Larry Kennard Cloud Jr., 27, of Kernersville, have both been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
The shooting happened around 9:22 p.m. Sunday night in the area of Bloomfield Drive and Junia Avenue, near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Police say Harris was found shot to death inside a house at 2051 Bloomfield Drive. Jenisha Shattiera Crawford, 26, was also found with gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that didn’t appear to be life-threatening. Police say that Brittany Shardiney Robinson, 24, sustained a minor injury.
Crawford remains in the hospital recovering from her injuries.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute.
No arrest photographs will released until a later date for investigative reasons.
