15-year-old girl missing out of Stokes County; major search underway

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. — Officials are trying to find a 15-year-old girl who went missing Sunday in Stokes County, according to the Stokes County Fire Marshal.

Cheyenne Sizemore went missing from her home near South Stokes School Road.

South Stokes Fire Department, Stokes County Sheriff’s Department, EMS, fire marshals and emergency Management responded to help with the search. A countywide request for assistance in finding Sizemore was requested with approximately 100 responders searching the areas around and near the residence.

Crews are still currently searching and are using NC State Highway Patrol helicopters, drone teams along with dog crews and search crews to attempt to locate the teen.
