DANBURY, Conn. — After receiving complaints about a park in Danbury, police said they found two men engaged in a sex act Tuesday.
Richard Moynihan, 75, of Stormville, NY, and 52-year-old Ferney Arcila-Hernandez of Mahopac, NY were spotted off of a main trail.
Police said visitors of Farrington Woods Park on Mill Plain Road complained that they were being solicited for sex acts by men parked in the parking lot.
Other people also complained that they saw men engaged in sex acts in the woods and the lot.
On Tuesday, police said they saw Moynihan’s red Chevy Colorado in the lot. They said they watched him leave it and walk up the main trail.
A short time later, a white Honda CRV driven by Arcila-Hernandez parked in the lot. Arcila-Hernandez got out and walked up the same trail into the woods.
Officers said they followed and found both men standing in a clearing, engaged in a sexual act.
Both were charged with public indecency and released on $500 bonds.
They are due in court on July 19.
Last week, police said they arrested four elderly men for sexual activity at the park. Police said the men are primarily from towns in northern Westchester County in New York, which borders the other side of the park. Police said many have met on the app Grindr and agreed to meet in the park for sex.
At least 10 people have been arrested for engaging in sex acts at the park.
Police have now beefed up patrols at the park.
