WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A woman was killed Thursday evening in a head-on collision that sent two others to the hospital with serious injuries.
Deborah Lynn Moser, 56, of Winston-Salem, was traveling on Old Hollow Road when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle shortly after 5 p.m.
Moser died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
The driver of the other car, Lisa Clay Burton, 28, and passenger Lamicha James Clay, 4, were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with serious injuries.
An investigation is being handled by the Traffic Enforcement Unit.
This is the first traffic fatality for 2014 in Winston-Salem as compared to two at this same time in 2013.
