Police investigating 2 separate shootings in Greensboro on Sunday, including 1 that was fatal

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police are investigating two separate shootings Sunday in Greensboro, including one which resulted in a death.

First, officers were called to the Mill Entertainment Complex at 816 S. Elm St. shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday where they found three people with injuries.

Tre’vis Rashad Hawkins, 22, of Greensboro, died after being taken to the hospital. The other two victims were taken to the hospital and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect may have been in or driving a green Dodge Challenger. There is no word on a motive or what led up to the shooting.

Then, on Sunday afternoon, another shooting was reported in the 1200 block of Randolph Avenue.

Police said one person sustained a non-life-threatening injuries in that shooting.

Police have not said if the shootings are connected. There have been no arrests in either case.
