CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Sixteen people were injured and one person died in a crash involving a Charlotte Area Transit System bus Monday afternoon in uptown Charlotte, officials said.
Officials said one person had life-threatening injuries and one had potentially life-threatening injuries.
It happened around 5 p.m. at East Third Street near the off-ramp of Interstate 277. East Third Street was shut down due to the crash.
Officials are investigating the crash.
