ASHEBORO, N.C. — Police have arrested one man and are seeking a second in connection with a shooting in Asheboro Wednesday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the C-Store, located at 401 E. Salisbury St., around 5:40 p.m. in reference to a gunshot wound.
Police found Rodericus Glover suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. Glover was transported by ambulance to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem with non-life threatening injuries.
After further investigation, police identified two suspects.
Derrell Trevon Jones, 20, of Asheboro, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Jones was jailed under a $500,000 secured bond.
Ondra Martenelli Gladden Jr., 19, of Asheboro, was also identified by police as a suspect. He is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
