Lexington city council approves grants for development project

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Lexington plans to pump thousands of dollars into what appears to be a major economic development project.

According to The Dispatch, there are two grants involved, one of which will be used to purchase property to be leased to a company.

The second is a $10,000 yearly grant to be paid if the company meets the contract requirements.

Details of the project have not yet been released.
