Learn to care for sick loved ones at Caregiver College

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- If you are caring for a sick loved one and need answers, you can find the help you need in an upcoming one-day intensive training event for home caregivers at Randolph Community College.

The event will be March 8.

This seminar will offer a variety of topics on issues of care-giving in the home and will be of special interest to family caregivers and volunteers, as well as allied health professionals.

The event will also support those who care for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.

The Caregiver College, scheduled for 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at RCC’s corporate training facility in the Continuing Education and Industrial Center on the Asheboro Campus, will again feature keynote speaker Teepa Snow, an occupational therapist specializing in dementia care and dementia education.

Breakout sessions will include managing the legal and financial aspects of caregiving. Over 20 vendors will be in attendance.

The registration fee for the Caregiver College is $25. Preregistration is encouraged; lunch will be provided for preregistered attendees. Call RCC at 336-633-0268 to preregister.
