HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Guiding children to make good decisions about their health is important at every age.

That includes talking to them about their sexual health.

Parents can sometimes avoid these conversations because they can be awkward or uncomfortable, but they’re too important to put off.

Melanie Womble is the Family Planning Coordinator with the Alamance County Health Department, and she spoke with FOX8 with information about what makes these talks with your teens so important.
