GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A group of students from Northwest Guilford High School entered drawings, paintings and blue prints, and won regional awards.
One student, Kendall Holbrook, went on to earn a national medal in the Scholastic Arts Competition.
Thousands of students from all across the country entered the competition, but Holbrook’s photo of a book on fire in the water made him stand out.
Holbrook’s teacher said his commitment to the craft says a lot about his character.
“I love being in the different cultures and I mean, travel is essentially what I could wish to do and document,” Holbrook said.
It’s Holbrook’s passion for photography that encourages him to do his best.
