HIGH POINT, N.C. — For senior Aislinn Antrim being home-schooled allows her to give back to the community.

The honors student spends about four hours each week exposing young minds to the power of the piano.

Antrim has been teaching piano lessons at the Macedonia Family Resource Center in High Point for nearly four years.

Her efforts have even earned her “the governor’s volunteer award”.

Antrim also secured a $2,000 grant.  That money was used to get music books for each of her students who will perform a recital at the end of year.

She plans to attend UNC and major in global studies and photojournalism in the fall.
