MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. (WGHP) — Edgar Hernandez, of Charlotte, bought a $5 scratch-off and won a $150,000 prize, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.
Hernandez bought his winning Cashword Multiplier ticket from Xpress Market on Tuckaseege Road in Mount Holly.
He claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters.
After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $106,876.
