Tonight is a big night for the FOX8 family!

Monday, Jan. 3, we will debut the FOX8 News at 7pm. Expanding upon our success in the Triad with 11 hours of locally produced news each day, we’re adding an additional 30 minutes of local news coverage, increasing the daily total to 11.5 hours of locally produced content every weekday.

“Our viewers’ lives are changing, and television viewing habits are shifting,” said Jim Himes, FOX8’s president and general manager. “FOX8 is proud to offer the Triad yet another quality newscast option to fit our viewer’s ever-evolving lifestyles.”

The 30-minute newscast will be anchored by veteran FOX8 News Anchor Natalie Wilson and will bring FOX8’s Monday-Friday total to 57.5 hours of local news, by far the most locally-produced news content in the Piedmont Triad.

“Natalie is a trusted and respected journalist with strong ties throughout the Triad community. We’re thrilled to have her anchoring this exciting new newscast,” said FOX8 News Director Kevin Daniels.

We can’t wait to get started delivering you even more local news you can rely on, and you can join us for the debut tonight at 7 p.m. See you there!
