What kind of chef do you have to be to make Rachael Ray sit up and take notice?
Evidently, the kind we have right here in the Piedmont.

Restaurateur Kristina Fuller just wanted to open a place to express the art in her cooking — and then put that in the name, when she opened “Crafted, The Art of the Taco” on Elm Street in downtown Greensboro in 2012.
Cooking has been her blood since she was small.
“It’s an immediate gratification,” says Fuller. “I loved being in the kitchen with my parents and grandparents. We always came together around the holidays, cooking, and everybody threw a little bit of their own seasoning into the mix.”
That’s helped create a recipe that is quickly becoming a brand, now that Fuller has opened a companion restaurant on the north side of downtown: “Crafted, the Art of Street Food,” and will soon open another version of the taco theme in Winston-Salem on Liberty Street.
Although she makes it look easy, “It takes a creative mind as well as a business-minded person,” Fuller says. “Because you can be as creative as you want and not know how to run a business and run it into the ground.”
And with a more limited version of her restaurants opening in Market Center in High Point, Crafted has completed its Triad “sweep”so to speak … making Fuller look something like a food mogul.
“No, no, no, no,” she insists. “We’re just having fun, doing what we love to do.”
