    REIDSVILLE, N.C. – The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found in a house fire in Reidsville early Saturday morning.   • 5-year-old boy shot and killed in Greensboro

    GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police are searching for a man in connection with the shooting death of a 5-year old boy on Waugh Street Friday night. Police have issued a first-degree murder warrant against 22-year old Murad Anthony Weaver in connection with this shooting. The victim, 5-year old Caleb Harris Pearson was transported to a local hospital where he died from his wounds, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.

    WILBAR N.C. — A large wildfire in Wilkes County that damaged 67 acres has been contained. Crews from the North Carolina Forest Services and eight fire departments had been fighting the fire since responding to White Oak Road near Hwy 16 around 10 p.m. Saturday.
