Madison joined FOX8 WGHP as a multimedia journalist and, in August 2022, became FOX8’s weekend anchor. She’s a passionate storyteller ready to connect with people across the Piedmont Triad.
Before joining FOX8, Madison spent two years in Greenville as a multimedia journalist and weekend anchor at WNCT. While in Eastern North Carolina, she covered the effects of Hurricane Dorian and multiple tropical weather events. She followed the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts on the ENC community, covered multiple visits from former President Donald Trump, and traveled to Elizabeth City to cover the deputy-involved shooting death of Andrew Brown Jr.
Madison is a North Carolina native and grew up in Concord. She graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She’s excited to continue her career in the Tar Heel State.
Madison always knew she wanted to work in broadcast journalism. As a little kid, she would get up early before school to watch the TODAY show and local news programming. She jumped in early in college, reporting and anchoring for Carolina Week and Carolina Now at UNC-CH, helping her school win state recognition for an outstanding college broadcast. She went on to intern at ABC11 WTVD and Spectrum News in Raleigh.
When she’s not at work, you can find Madison outside, exploring new restaurants and breweries, or cheering on her Heels!
