Clara Goodwin joined the FOX8 sports team in January 2021 as a sports MMJ/anchor. She grew up in Boise, Idaho, before graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in sports broadcasting.

Following graduation, Clara moved to Great Falls, Montana, to lead the sports department at KFBB. It was there she fell in love with small-town sports (even 6-man football!) After two years in the Treasure State, Clara made the jump to SEC land and covered the Razorbacks at KFSM in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She spent two years calling the Hogs and learning that just about any food is capable of being fried.

Now, despite being 2,500 miles away from Idaho, Clara has quickly grown to feel right at home in the Piedmont Triad. She is excited to get back into Friday night lights while embracing the ACC and diving into the world of the Panthers. Clara is passionate about going beyond the highlights and showcasing what athletes accomplish off the field. She is excited to unravel the ins and outs of the North Carolina sports scene.

Clara danced throughout college, and you can still find her grooving in studios around the area. She also enjoys working out, going out to eat and spending time with her two dogs – Ella and Scarlett. Clara loves meeting new people, so if you see her on the sidelines, don’t hesitate to say hello!
