Brad Jones loves a great story, because he always has a chance to meet some interesting people along the way. His story started in East Tennessee, where he eventually met the love of his life. They now have three children and one grandchild, who has Brad wrapped around her cute little finger.

His career started in Kingsport, Tennessee, then took a detour for graduate school at the University of Georgia where he earned his M.A. in Journalism. Brad then arrived in Roanoke, Virginia, and eventually landed in the Triad in 1987. He now gets up before dawn each day to anchor the FOX8 Morning News and the FOX8 Noon News.

Over the years, Brad has received several Emmy awards for writing and reporting. He also spent more than 25 years as an adjunct faculty member at UNC Greensboro. One of the great moments in his life was being honored for his work in supporting the Carolina Field of Honor at Triad Park. Brad was also made an honorary member of the Marine Corps League Detachment 260 in Greensboro for his devotion to America’s military men, women and families.

He loves a beautiful sunrise, barbecue with lots of sauce, great-looking cars and, most of all, the girl he fell in love with more than 30 years ago. His 1958 DeSoto named Dorothy is close behind, but his wife understands — as long as Dorothy stays in the garage.
