Procter & Gamble in Browns Summit evacuates after report of unknown odor; 5 people sent to hospital

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. — Procter & Gamble in Browns Summit is evacuating, according to Greensboro Fire Department spokesman Dwayne Church.

Guilford County EMS responded to the facility after a report of an unknown odor in the area.

EMS evaluated about a dozen people, some of whom showed no symptoms of any medical concern.

Five patients who said they felt sick were taken to Cone Hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
