GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say they identified a body that was found in a Greensboro yard Friday morning and began a homicide investigation.

The victim, Jaylin Dontrell Harris, 18, of Greensboro, was found with at least one gunshot wound, police say.

Officers are on scene at a house in the 2600 block of Fairway Drive.

The road is blocked off while investigators survey the scene.

Police say they responded after a homeowner called in after the victim was found in a yard.

The homeowner told FOX8 he went outside to get the morning paper and saw a dead man in his bushes. Blood was also on his wife's car. He immediately called the police.

The homeowner says he did not recognize the body.
