Lockdown lifted at Naval Air Station Oceana after 1 shot, 1 in custody in ‘active shooter incident’

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A naval air station in Virginia went into lockdown after a person was shot, according to WTKR.

A person was also taken into custody after the incident at Naval Air Station Oceana.

Officials are directing the public to avoid the area.

The lockdown was lifted at about 8:18 a.m.
