Car crashes into creek in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A car careened off Silas Creek Parkway and into the creek overnight, according to the Winston-Salem Fire Department. 

At about 4:11 a.m., the fire department and police responded to the scene.

WSFD reports an older man was driving when the car crashed for unknown reasons.

A fire crew helped the man out of his car and up a steep embankment to dry land.

He was then taken to the hospital with minor injuries for evaluation.

It is unclear if the driver will face any charges.
