Social media could provide benefits for senior citizens

Social media knows no age, and experts say it could even have benefits for older adults.

While social media was mostly full of young people when it first launched, that's begun to change over the years.

In 2009, about 8 percent of senior citizens were on social media. That number is now 37 percent.

Social media can be useful for senior citizens to stay in contact with family, find new social groups and even get feedback.
