RANDLEMAN, N.C. – Authorities in Randolph County are investigating a gas leak and collapsed building in Randleman on Sunday.

Crews responded to Randolph Powder Coating at 498 Pointe South Drive at about 2 p.m. and found a collapsed roof.

Randleman firefighters and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene.

Authorities said they could smell gas when they pulled up. Officials believe the snow caused the roof to cave in. Nobody was hurt.

A neighboring business heard the boom when it happened and called for help.

Officials said the building may be a total loss.
