Victim identified in Greensboro shooting homicide

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro police have identified the victim killed in a Thursday night shooting.

Around 9:50 p.m. Thursday, police investigated a shooting at the 1000 block of Cranbrook Street.

Michael Jerome Potts, 46, of Greensboro, was shot and taken to the hospital.

Officials announced Friday the victim died from his injuries.

The shooting is under investigation as a homicide.

Police have not reported a suspect or motive.
