Samaritan’s Purse flies from PTI to Hawaii to help flood victims

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A group traveling from the Piedmont Triad is focusing its recovery efforts on the Hawaiian island of Kauai as residents are dealing with the aftermath of historic flooding last month.

The flight is leaving from the Piedmont Triad International Airport Wednesday morning as the group will assist with cleanup and rebuilding efforts on the island. The plane is carrying supplies such as tarps and chainsaws.
