WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A new cell tower will be going up in the Ardmore community.

Winston-Salem City Council members voted 6 to 2 in favor of putting the tower on church property Monday night.

Many community members who attended the meeting did not want the tower to be built.

Many are afraid it will affect future property development and decrease property values.

There is no word on when the cell tower will be built.
